Many businesses are choosing to move away from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. Reasons include consolidation, enhanced security, deeper compliance controls and integrated collaboration tools.

Our client chose this path, along with a primary domain change for their email addresses. The aim was to keep email flowing, whilst configuring Microsoft Exchange to accept the old domain. A migration wizard in Exchange did most of the heavy lifting, moving the data for each batch of users. Configuration changes were required in Google Workspace, +Exchange, Outlook and the Domain hosts MX records, the project was successfully completed with minimal impact on the users. While the process was far from straight forward good preperation, planning and communication were the key factors in ensuring a smooth transition to Microsoft 365.
